Who can allocate resources on projects?

 

The persons who have the following access levels: “Project manager”, “Project Director”, “Accounting” and “Administrator” have full right to allocate persons on the projects.

For each project it can be set allocation limitations for persons who have the right to allocate persons.

From the edit mode of the project, on section  “Allocation workflow for Project managers” there are 3 options:

  • Project managers can allocate all – it means that the persons who have been added into the “Project managers” table related to the project, can allocate any person from the company on the project.
  • Project managers can allocate only project team – it means that the persons who have been added into the “Project managers” table related to the project, can allocate only the persons who have been added into the “Project team” table.
  • Project managers need approval on allocations – it means that the persons who have been added into the “Project managers” table related to the project, can allocate any person on the project but needs approval from a superior “Project Director, “Accounting” or “Administrator”.

 

Approve or Reject the allocations made by project managers

  1. Go to “Resourcing” from menu.
  2. Click on “Approve/Reject” tab.

If there is no allocations to be reviewed a message “No pending requests” will be displayed.

If there are allocations to be reviewed, these will be displayed here.
